Mr. Noyes, and his wife, Jerrie Noyes chose to be married in a traditional native American, wedding ceremony by a full blooded Lakota Sioux medicine man. Mr. Noyes gained much of his reverence of nature as a result of his studies of Native American philosophy. In the past year, Mr. Noyes completed a three year course of study entitled an "Evening a Month for America" sponsored by the National Center for Constitutional Studies. This program includes study of "The Making of America" textbook, which enables the student to gain an understanding of the rationale behind the various provisions of the United States Constitution. As a result Mr. Noyes was able to gain a clear perspective of the inspired vision of the founders and to understand how modern America has strayed from that original vision. Mr. Noyes' inspiration to run for attorney general of Iowa came as a result of this study.

Ed's book, Restoring the Heart of America, A Return to Government by the People, co-authored with Clyde Cleveland, candidate for Governor of Iowa, details how Iowa, (The Heart of America) can be restored by returning to the eternal principles contained in the United States constitution.
