Tim Hird is a Senior Transmission Coordinator for the System Operation Department of MidAmerican Energy. He has been in energy transmission and dispatch since 1976.

Educational Background:
Tim Hird graduated from Bay Village High School in Bay Village Ohio in 1965. He graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1975 with a BS in Electrical Engineering.

Military Service:
Tim Hird is a Viet Nam veteran with the USMC and was on active duty from 1967 to 1971.

Volunteer Community Service:
Tim Hird is a member of the St Paul's Episcopal Church in Des Moines, Iowa where he is a voluntary audio engineer. He is the current treasurer for the Libertarian Party of Iowa, past Chair of the Libertarian Party of Iowa, and current treasurer of the Fully Informed Jury Association.

Family Information:
Tim Hird has been married to Rebecca for 30 years and has three children and one grand child.
