Candidate for Secretary of Agriculture -
Fritz Groszkruger
Family Information:
Wife Dawn, daughter Gretchen - high school senior, 2 sons - Hans and Karl
in college.
Occupation:
We farm 300 acres, raise corn, soybeans, hay, beef, pork, chicken, eggs,
and a market garden.
Educational
Background:
1 3/4 years of college, but the most education I've had is self taught
in economics to avoid the influence of the education establishment.
Volunteer Community Service:
I've served on the county pork board and am a volunteer with the Hansell
Fire Dept.
The reason I'm eager to serve as Secretary of Agriculture is because
I feel the State has assumed responsibilities best left to the private
sector and I could possibly change that.
Candidate Statement
I am Fritz Groszkruger, Libertarian, and best candidate for Secretary
of Agriculture in Iowa. The reason I'm best suited for the job is that
I believe each individual has rights given by God, not the state. By that
I mean we are all sovereign individuals who should not be violated by
anyone, whether it's our neighbors or our government. This is the idea
that inspired our founding fathers to secede from England. It also is
the only reason we are the richest and least polluted nation on earth.
That position is in danger. As politicians buy votes by doing favors for
contributors and freinds, our economy is being transformed from a free-market
to a system that rewards influence. The taxpayers of this state should
not be obliged to fund research or promote products for private companies.
The people of influence are trampling on the rights of neighbors and taxpayers.
By having a deep-seated belief in the idea that thousands of individuals
can guide an economy better than a committee or bureaucrat I am the best
candidate to let the marvel of capitalism work for the prosperity of Iowa.
